'Tis the season - the kids are headed back to school! Whether you're breathing a sigh of relief or sending your kids off with a heavy heart, we all have one thing in common - we're taking those cameras out and snapping pictures of the first day back at school.

I wanted to create a school kit that focused a little bit more on the learning aspect - and one thing I've had planned for a long time is creating a kit based on the love of reading. I have found my love of reading again after recently purchasing a digital reader as a gift to myself, and have several friends that have done the same. Whether you read on an e-reader or love the feel of a paper book in your hand, we all like to curl up with a blanket, maybe a cup of hot coffee or tea, and lose ourselves in a book.

Book Talk was created with that exact purpose in mind - and will be useful in documenting not only your kids going back to school and their long nights of studying, but also your passion for sitting down after a hard day to read.

New from Pixiemama Designs - Freshly Picked!

Our family absolutely loves fruit - we love picking it and we especially love eating it. I remember vaguely as a little kid, going out behind my grandparent's house where they had a random blackberry bush growing, and I loved going out there with a little basket and picking the berries off the bush in the spring. I'd bring them in, wash them off, and eat them right there!

Of course, I haven't picked blackberries off that bush in a long time, and I'm not even sure that it's still there. But it spurred a love of picking berries straight off the bush inside me, and I hope one day that I can share that with my son, that love of picking berries.

 

Freshly Picked came together from that love of picking berries in me - whether it's strawberries or blackberries, or even apples and oranges straight off the tree. It's also perfect for layouts about the sweet little girl in your life who absolutely loves a certain strawberry scented character! (Even I love and remember Strawberry Shortcake and her friends!)

If you love the look of clustered frames but have problems making them, this set is for you.

The clustered frame look with white space in a layout is a popular trend in scrapbooking, but it can sometimes be difficult to pull off.

 These clustering templates were created to help as a guide for those who have problems

pulling off clustering elements.

All templates are layered, and each layer is named accordingly to help you out. Templates are also available in separate PNG files for those who use programs that do not open TIF or PSD files. You can use the shapes in these templates to clip your favorite papers from any kit to, or you can replace the layers with elements from your favorite kit.
