Het onderwerp was Thankful.

Op de dag dat je geboren werd, werd ons verteld dat je misschien het syndroom van Down had. Dat was wel even schrikken, maar mijn moedersinstinct zei me dat het niet zo was. Na de test wisten we het zeker. Je was een gezonde, kleine meid. We waren zo dankbaar.

On the day you were born they told us that you might have Down syndrome. That was a bit of a shock.
But my feeling told me that you didn't. After the test we knew for sure. You were a healthy little girl.
We were so thankful for that
